Vice President, Men’s and Women’s Shoes

Agency recruited to strategically turn around the existing footwear business. Successfully pivoted the brand

from a “sale price” destination to a “full price” destination by the end of the first season via capable team

leadership and effective partnerships with internal teams and European and Asian factories

  • Reinvigorated the shoe business four seasons a year by creating original designs that improved quality, fit and comfort while also strengthening both design and merchandising teams
  • Collaborated closely with public relations to create media campaigns generating industry excitement
  • Presented each seasonal shoe collection to GAP Executives that fulfilled the company vision for a more cohesive product line between apparel and accessories
  • Improved quality and communications with factories in Italy, Spain, Brazil and China resulting in efficiency, pricing and production improvements
  • Originated and led 3 seasons of national and in-store product training for sales leaders and associates through “trunk show” seminars that increased their product knowledge, excitement and awareness

Polo Ralph Lauren New York, New York 1996 to 1997

Designer, Women’s Footwear

Hired to work alongside Mr. Lauren and his team, designed each season’s footwear to deliver his vision and

inspiration. Created his showcase runway shoes and helped choose the “it” shoes for multiple national ad

campaigns. Along with runway, partnered well with the licensee to create footwear collections that were

sold in Ralph Lauren stores and at many other marquee retailers

  • Designed and developed the women’s collection Purple Label line for Cruise, Spring and Fall 1 and 2, Spring Runway and Fall Runway
  • Traveled with the collection team all over Europe to bring back inspirations for each season and worked closely with modellistas and artisans in ateliers to produce the designs
  • Built strong relationships with vendors, the licensee and factories at the request of senior leadership
